Setting Up E-mail Using Microsoft Outlook
First open your Microsoft outlook program and go to Tools >Account Settings
This will open a window with multiple options. Please go to New
Once opened please select Microsoft Exchange, POP3, IMAP, or HTTP and press Next.
On the next screen please select Manually configure server settings or additional server types.
Then select Internet E-mail from the options
In this next window, fill in Your Name and E-mail Address. For the Server Information use: Account Type: IMAP Incoming Mail Server: mail.YOURWEBSITE.xx.xx (i.e mail.copperroseltd.co.uk) Outgoing Mail Server: mail.YOURWEBSITE.xx.xx (i.e mail.copperroseltd.co.uk) Then fill in the Username (E-mail address) and Password that you wish to use.
After you have filled in the details above, press the More Settings button.
Then the Outgoing Server tab and click the My Outgoing Server (SMTP) Requires Authentication tick box.
Go to the ‘Advanced‘ tab and make sure all the settings are set to this (see below):
Then, click ‘OK‘ Then, click ‘Next‘ > ‘Finish‘ Then, click ‘Close‘ and everything should be loaded in and you will start receiving e-mails.
Setting Up E-mail Using Gmail
You will get a pop up window (as Above)
- You will need to assign a name (this will define the e-mail account E.g. ‘Copper Rose Ltd E-mail’ Or ‘Second Account’ – your choice).
- Then you will need to add you e-mail address.
- Be sure ‘Treat as an Alias’ is ticked
After that, you will be presented with this:
You will be asked to verify your account – this will require you to access your e-mail via Webmail (http://www.webmail-client.co.uk) and get the verification code and add it into the white text box (shown above) and click ‘Verify’.
Setting Up E-mail Using Mac Mail
Open the Tools menu Open the Go menu at the top of your screen and click Applications. Double-click on the Office 2011 folder then double-click the Outlook icon. Click Tools and then Accounts.
Create a new account Click on the E-mail Account icon.
Enter your information Enter your E-mail address in the E-mail address field. Enter your E-mail password in the Password field. Enter your e-mail username in the User name field. Select IMAP for Type. Enter mail.YOURWEBSITE.xx.xx (i.e mail.copperroseltd.co.uk) in the Incoming mail server field. Check Override default portand enter 143 in the second field of Outgoing server. Check Don’t Use SSL (Uncheck it). Enter mail.YOURWEBSITE.xx.xx (i.e mail.copperroseltd.co.uk) in the Outgoing server field. Check Override default port and enter 25 in the second field of Outgoing server. Check Don’t Use SSL (Uncheck it). Click on Add Account.
Outgoing server authentication In the Accounts window, click on More Options under Outgoing server. Select User Name and Password for Authentication. Enter your Colourfence username and password. Click OK. Congratulations, You should be Completed and receiving e-mails successfully!
Setting Up E-mail Using iPhone/iPad
First, locate and press the “Settings” icon. It may be on a different screen or in a different location than shown here.
Then select “Mail, Contacts, Calendars“.
Select “Add Account“.
Then choose “Other“.
Press “Add Mail Account“.
Enter the Name, Email address, and Email password of the email account you’re adding.
A “Description” will automatically appear, but you can change it if you like. When finished, press “Next“.
In this tutorial we are creating an IMAP account… therefore, ensure the IMAP option is selected here.
Next you have to enter your Incoming Mail Server settings. Enter the Host Name (mail.YOURWEBSITE.xx.xx (i.e mail.copperroseltd.co.uk)), User Name and Password for the “Incoming” Mail Server.
Next, enter the Host Name (mail.YOURWEBSITE.xx.xx (i.e mail.copperroseltd.co.uk)), User Name and Password for the “Outgoing” Mail Server.
When finished, press “Next”. After clicking next, you will most likely be presented with a notice saying the connection could not be made and suggest you try a ‘non SSL connection’. If you don’t receive this notice, you should go straight to the next step.
Then press “Save”. Success! The IMAP email account has been setup on the iPhone, and you can see it here listed under “Accounts”.
Setting Up E-mail Using Android
Open the email app on your phone and select to set up a new account. Enter your email address and the password that you selected for the email account in the Control Panel. Then click Manual setup.
For Protocol, select IMAP Email address: Your full email address Username: Your full email address Password: The password for the email address above IMAP server: mail.YOURWEBSITE.xx.xx (i.e mail.copperroseltd.co.uk) Security Type: none Server port: 143 Then click Next.
For the outgoing server settings, please enter the following information. Login required: Should be checked Username: Your full email address Password: The password for the email address above SMTP server: mail.YOURWEBSITE.xx.xx (i.e mail.copperroseltd.co.uk) Security Type: NONE Server port: 25 Then click Next.
Enter a name for the account. The account name is there for you to easily identify the email account in your phone if you have multiple email accounts set up. Enter your name and click Finish setup to finish the setup.
